Haircuts and Bribes!

Coltin before the "big cut"Coltin has been going through a long hair "stage" for quite some time now. What we thought would be a "stage" turned into almost 2 years!! As parents, we decided that there were alot worse things that he could be doing or wanting, so we left it up to him to make his choice about his hair. How
ever, we have threatened to cut it if he didn't keep his grades up or if he got into trouble with us. We thought that during the heat of the summers while he was playing baseball, he would choose to cut it, but nope! He has endured hot summers and many remarks both good and bad about his gorgeous locks! Well we were in conversation with some friends at lunch who mentioned that she had offered her son $10 to cut his hair, to which he had replied he would do it for $20. Tim said I would give Coltin $20 if he would cut his hair to which Coltin replied "ok, I'll take it!" Well we were quite shocked and gave him the $20 right then and there at the table so he couldn't change his mind later!! After returning to Nicholasville, we went straight to Miss Emily and told her to get her clippers and scissors ready!! I took pictures to document this great moment in time!

Nolan was also in need of a haircut so we all decided that since he was turning 5 on Friday, it was time for a "big boy" hair cut for him!
